Dear Reader,
This week, we hope to provide a little sanctuary from all that’s going on in the world with some art, courtesy of the talented people all over this campus. And so, we bring you a belated All Saints’ Day for the second issue of the Grail’s Volume XX.
We have poetry from Caleb Stanco, who laments the ever-so-human fate of Judas Iscariot (6). Adrian Keller Feld brings us a regency-esque world of intrigue and charm in a short story (2). We have submissions from Henry McDonald, whose photos, including this issue’s cover, burst forth with righteous light (3, 7), and Charlotte Applebaum, who’s captured some of the wonderful works human hands have wrought (1, 5).
Our next issue will be on the theme of One-Way Mirror, a meditation on perspective, subjectivity, and what stares back from our reflection. Until then, check out our website at reedthegrail.org to absorb our past issues. Farewell for now, and may we all find some small measure of comfort with each other as we look to the future ahead.
With love,
